Use Cases The BAF (Building Automation Functions) model is a catalogue of generic control functions which are usually implemented by automation engineers in building management systems (BMS). The RDF/OWL serialization allows for use cases related to Linked Data, like e.g. for linking heterogeneous data sources (times series databases, technical systems specifications, building information models...) and integrating them into a broader information model that describes whole control systems. Moreover, it can be used for supporting the design and deployment of building automation and control systems (BACS) in a digital process, and for making semantic applications in the building automation domain
